Tina Fey Again!

In Uncategorized on September 30, 2008 at 5:02 am

It really kills me to not be able to post the video here.  But if you are a true Tina Fey fan and an avid follower of the American presidential election news like me, you will follow this link and laugh your asses off.

Oh dear… *wiping eyes*

I just wish the Indonesian presidential election could be made into skits.  We have too much restriction here.  No fun.

Kudos to Tina Fey, yet again.  She should get an Emmy for the Sarah Palin skits indeed.

The Queens Are Out!

In My Amazing Race Asia Addiction on September 25, 2008 at 9:53 pm

The thing about The Amazing Race Asia is, they always have a mix between those who really want to win the race and those who are just looking for their 5 minutes of fame.  Oops, sorry.  I meant the thing about TARA 3.  Why?  Because I have never ever heard a team that complains as much as the beauty queens. Especially Natalie, who clearly isn’t TARA material.  First she complained about not being able to change a tyre, and she complained about finding the clues, resulting in a request for a 4 hour penalty. She’s supposed to be a really really annoying pretty-faced brat who always gets her way.

But I thought of something different.

Is there a possibility that Pailin and Natalie are just planted there by the producers to add beauty for the cameras and have all their lines scripted?

I let my mind wander the possibility because this particular team is really over the top in terms of ‘character’.  Come on, checking your make up in burning heat?  Changing oils without a single footage of actually going under the jeep?  Being extra whiny while you can be just whiny and hated by most viewers? I call that amateur acting.  And not a very good one, I must say.

TARA 3

In My Amazing Race Asia Addiction on September 25, 2008 at 3:28 pm

I’ve done 2 sinful things to be done by a true TARA fan.

1.  Not paying enough attention when they air the racer’s profile.
2.  Missing episode 1 of the race.

There I said it.  And I blame it all on my sick dedication to work.

But then, I promised myself that I will continue watching episode 3 tonight and THEN write about the show from there on.  I have to admit that it’s kind of a downer to see no teams from Indonesia this year, because as much as I made fun of Kinaryosih and her partner last year, the feeling of the race being close to home was there.

The Best Opening Credits Ever

In Entertainment, Me Likey, TV Talk, Video Post on September 25, 2008 at 5:29 am

Those Emmy judges are fools.  What’s with only 5 nominations and no Emmy for this?  Seriously.  Even the opening itself deserves an Emmy!!!

Need I say more?

*checking Youtube ever so often for season 3 leaks*

The Science Of Bad Movies

In Entertainment, Reviews, Sarcasm on September 22, 2008 at 5:24 am

Remember this review?

Well I just watched a similarly terrible movie on Saturday, titled: Babylon A.D., starring Vin Diesel.

Okay, by now you’re probably saying: “That’s what you get watching a Vin Diesel movie.”  Truthfully, the global warming made me watch.  Jakarta was literally the melting pot (read: everything could melt) due to the heat that day, and I needed somewhere cool to go.  What could be cooler than the XXI cinemas air conditioners?  Hence the movie, because we (me and le boyfriend) missed Hellboy.  The nearest movie was Babylon A.D. and we proceeded, ignoring the huge possibility of the movie being awful as we saw Vin Diesel on the poster.  As long as we can find A.C, we’ll watch A.D.

Anyway,

I’m not gonna rewrite the plot here.  I’m just gonna type my observation of how to avoid or to make the most out of watching bad movies after several experiences, including especially the most traumatic one: Sunshine.

Tina Fey As Sarah Palin

In Uncategorized on September 17, 2008 at 5:08 am

Dammit.  I can’t post the official video here.  But here’s the link straight to NBC and I know YOU will love it as much as I do, even if you’re a Republican.

The BEST of Tina Fey’s comedian career.  I love her.  LOVE HER!  😀

The World Is Awesome :D

In Amazing!, Heartwarming, Me Likey, Musically Me, Video Post on September 14, 2008 at 5:08 pm

Yes, it does make me want to break into this song.

And let’s sing the song!

I love the mountains
I love the clear blue skies
I love big bridges
I love when great whites fly.

I love the whole world
and all its sights and sounds

boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da

I love the ocean
I love the dirty things
I love to go fast
I love egyptian kings

I love the whole world
and all its craziness

boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da

I love tornados
I love arachanid
I love hot magma
I love the giant squids

I love the whole world
it’s such a brilliant place.

boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da
boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da, boom dee ya da

😀  I won’t mind having this song playing over and over in my head all day 😀

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!

Disclaimer:  Beware of too much estrogen in the following post.

You see, I have something to get off my chest.

You endured the torture of walking or driving past a hair salon and not being able to go in because you were afraid to be tempted to get a trim because you want a long hair so much. You even made a pact with your hairstylist that if she sees you anywhere near a salon, she holds the right to make you BALD and you can’t sue her.

More Pet Peeve!

In Silly Posts on September 5, 2008 at 5:06 am

Okay people.

I am seriously getting tired of hearing the sophisticated “ERMAY” or “EYRMEE” or “HERMEY” whenever this bag comes into view:

It’s pronounced… AIR MEZ, PEOPLE!!!!!!!

PHEW!

That’s What She Said!

In Entertainment on September 4, 2008 at 5:01 am

I love her songs, but I don’t particularly like her behavior.

Ladies and gentlemen, behold the battle of two QUEENS of our time, onstage.

“I can still snort you under the table”

Man, coming up with that lame comeback, Sir Elton must be pissed big time.  Somebody should wash that Allen girl’s mouth with soap.  Not another glass of bubbly.

Kids today.  Tsk, tsk.
