You Are My Doughnut, Sweetheart

In Mushy :) on March 29, 2007 at 12:54 am

doughnutAs he says in his blog to me… “i wanna hug you like the donut hugs the hole in the donut :)”. Sugar, this is a tribute to your sweetness. Although I can’t eat any due to my sickness, I could never have enough donuts if it means your hugs. I love you so much and what you said yesterday about being there in sickness and in health, say no more. I’ve seen and felt it 🙂

Kisses to my donut. Thank you for saying I look beautiful despite not taking any shower for almost two days. Thank you for hugging me so tight and telling me I’m gonna be fine.

I’m still a bit woozy now, but way better because of you 🙂

What’s In A Name? A Lot, Apparently.

In Silly Posts on March 25, 2007 at 4:11 pm

“I’ll put your number in my cell”
“Okay. It’s 081…XXXXXXXX”
“Got it. And the name?”
“It’s ‘Miund’. M-I-U-N-D”

The guy typed my name into his cell, while my friend looked at me with unreadable but familiar expression in her face.

“If your name is Miund, why did you introduced yourself as ‘Tiz’ to me?”
“Oh that’s because I’m with him” – pointing to my boyfriend
“Why?”

Here we go again, the lengthy explanation of the transformation from my real name: Asmara Letizia Wreksono, to a simple but (some say) catchy ‘Miund’. Now I rarely put this explanation in writing, but I guess it’s long overdued.

Torn!

In Entertainment, Giggle To This!, Video Post on March 25, 2007 at 2:38 pm

Spent Saturday night at The Four Seasons‘ bar, and the home band was excellent. It wasn’t the strawberry Metropolis that got me all giggly, it was their performance of Natalie Imbruglia‘s ‘Torn‘. Not that they were bad at it, in fact they couldn’t be better. But I suddenly remember a widely-forwarded video of a mime, David Armand, who did the interpretive ‘movements’ to every word of the song. Got the e-mail about a year ago and I still remember the moves!

Just wondering…

Why do successful people are mostly good looking?

Money Politics

In Daily Annoyance, Weird Philosophy on March 23, 2007 at 2:12 am

“So are you gonna do it?”
“No.  I don’t think so”
“Why?”
“There’s no money involved”

Worth It!

In Celebrity Talk, Image Post, Junkie Session, TV Talk on March 19, 2007 at 3:00 am

Le Hunk Du JourAh oui.  Le hunk du jour.  C’est mon nouveau objet de drool.

Man.  Even the attempt of using the most sophisticated language in the world, does NOT help when posting cheesiness.  Hahahaha…  Oh well, after Gale Harold of ‘Queer As Folk‘, Adrian Pasdar of ‘Heroes‘ and Matthew Perry of ‘Friends‘, the ‘Prison Break‘ actor caught my eyes.   He, however, does not replace my undying love to George Clooney.  It’s just that… even my boyfriend admits -and envies- his handsomeness.

Oh well.  I guess it’s time for bed.  Toodles!

The “Polite” Post

In Sarcasm on March 19, 2007 at 1:57 am

The world is full of funny people and they aren’t necesarrily comedians.  These funny people exist in ordinary places.  The only time you can distinguish a ‘funny’ person from another is when a certain part of their body is opened up.

Their mouths.

I’m not talking about people who sounds funny, talks funny or any kind of funiness caused by physical defects.  I am talking about those who talks about who they really are but acts the opposite in real life.  Let me show you an example:

The Phantom Rat

In Daily Annoyance, Silly Posts on March 17, 2007 at 3:37 am

The rainy season in Jakarta had brought many unpleasant happenings to Jakartans. Many lost their houses and belongings due to the flood, and even more got infected by diseases. The condition is somewhat contradictory to what my teachers taught me in grade school:

“Rain is good. It keeps our rice fields from drying up, therefore we’d get rice to eat everyday.”

Bloggers = Liars? Puh-leeze!!

In Daily Annoyance on March 17, 2007 at 1:09 am

Enough with crying posts (it’s here in Indonesian). My heart is still hurting, but now even more hurting because I’m back to Nila Tanzil’s case, a blogger who had been accused of lying in her blog about the Malaysian Tourism Board incident a few months back by the Malaysian Minister of Tourism. Am not gonna post the whole news here, as you may have read it here.

AI 2007 – Week 1 Results

In My American Idol Addiction on March 16, 2007 at 2:43 am

Brandon RogersOh so much for my Dreamweaver desperation. On a lighter note… Brandon Rogers got axed. Can’t say I’m surprised. You can never screw up onstage, dude. I’m just wondering why am I not shocked to find Sanjaya Malakar still in the competition. I guess it’s the hair. Ms. Ross might be wailing somewhere in Beverly Hills as Simon put it, but I think she wailed not because Sanjaya didn’t sing well. Ms. Ross was shrieking in JOY to find her hair being imitated by a male teenager. I think she wouldn’t scream as loud if today were the seventies. In the era of crew-cuts, mohawks and caesars, Sanjaya’s ‘do is like a breath of fresh fart.

Other than that, I’m still golly glad that Melinda and LaKisha are still on. They have to be. As much as I hate her, I love Gina Glocksen’s hair this evening. Jordin’s straightened curls are great too! The hot iron worked like a charm. Sanjaya, take notes!

Oh well. Enough bitching. Time for bed.

To other contestants of the American Idol 2007, as the handsome George Clooney would put it: good night and good luck.
