They Got Me Under My Skin

In Celebrity Talk, Me Likey, Musically Me, Video Post on November 14, 2008 at 3:16 am

Months spent with the urban society have changed me, my preference in music and taste in male celebs.  From jazz to hip hop, from George Clooney to T.I., I am savoring the diversity and am enjoying one of the songs my friends disapprove of!  They are WHACK.  Dis song is cool as ice, so don’t y’all be hatin’.

T.I. my man, you’ll always have my heart… in fact, you can have whatever you like… LOL!

Simon Cowell. I Heart You.

In Celebrity Talk, My American Idol Addiction on February 7, 2008 at 8:04 pm

I’ve been quite ADD-ish about my TV show preference these days.  Mikearmand thinks I’ve given up on The Amazing Race Asia, and having not written anything about it for quite some time, he’s right to think so.  But truthfully, I’ve got a lot to digest.  American Idol?  I never missed an episode of it, yet I’ve not written anything about it either.   And seeing my past posts and special tags I’ve created to devote my addictions to them, I too question myself: why?

Well why, maybe it’s because when I’m fed too much good shows, I just become lazy.

People Today.

I don’t care about Dumbledore.  I just wonder what Hermione’s sex tape looks like (Wizards forbid it looks like Paris Hilton’s!).  Wish Snape has a sex tape.  Been having a secret crush on that guy.

Go To Another Direction, Girl

I love her songs, I love her voice.  The music reminded me to classic Cher, the look also reminded me to Cher pre-‘Believe’ era.   Don’t mind the attitude, because if I were her, I’d probably be worse -sans the drugs-.  Don’t mind the tattoos because while on others they’d look mighty trashy, on her they look okay.  There is only one thing I hate about Amy Winehouse…

Winehouse or Beehive?

She might not want to go to rehab and she says ‘No… No… NO!’

I say, it’s okay Ms. Winehouse.  You should go to a beauty salon instead.

Worst Dressed?

In Celebrity Talk, Entertainment, Fashion Police, Image Post, Silly Posts on July 10, 2007 at 2:22 am

I’ve always been a fan of Mr. Blackwell‘s 10 Worst Dressed Women lists over the years. I even envied him for gaining such attention by doing the thing I love most:

Bitching about other people’s dresses.

I thought it was the BEST job in the world. It’s like waking up every morning, having breakfast at the nearest cafe, scanning the surroundings and noting down fashion mistakes. On to lunch at some posh restaurant, sitting in your reserved corner, enjoying your salad while -again- noting down fashion faux-pas. And then going to a high-tea thingie, pretending to be interested to some rich wife’s tale about how her poodle got dyed blue, going to the men’s room to jot the fashion mistakes… and off to a cocktail party and do exactly the same, and emailing your thoughts of the day to a well known fashion magazine to have them printed for the next edition. And at the end of the year, the lists will be compiled into one conscised small list that’s released worldwide. Ah heaven.

All Jokes Aside

In Celebrity Talk, Entertainment on June 22, 2007 at 10:10 pm

I just watched Mr. Bean’s Holiday. Being a fan of Rowan Atkinson for years, I’d have to say that this movie disappointed me. It’s not as funny as its first debut on theatres, nowhere near Johnny English’s comedy and a total screw up from the TV version -which I watched for too many times now.

Some would say: “What do you expect? It’s only comedy.”

No, people. To me comedy is important. If ‘comedy’ isn’t ‘funny’ anymore, then this world is doomed. And comedy should be everlasting. One should be able to laugh at one’s grandfather’s favorite comic’s antics. That’s why the genre is different than any other. Comedy is always relevant to time.

Mr. Atkinson, I promise I’ll get over what I saw in Mr. Bean’s Holiday and continue watching your performance as ‘The Devil’ at the Harvard Theater. I’ll pretend Mr. Bean’s Holiday never existed.

Stop Me. Stop Me Now.

In Celebrity Talk, Entertainment, Fashion Police, Image Post on June 15, 2007 at 12:58 am

It’s so freaky how I couldn’t seem to stop myself from commenting stuff around me and stuff I see on the magic box called ‘television’. Hm. Maybe that’s why I have not one but TWO blogs, one in English and one in Bahasa Indonesia. Oh well. Seems like nobody have gotten the finger cuffs I once requested, so here I am, typing my thoughts about Ms. Hilton.

His CD’s Out Now :)

In Celebrity Talk, Entertainment, Junkie Session, Me Likey, Musically Me, My American Idol Addiction on May 27, 2007 at 12:00 am

His CDLast night I posted the video of Sherman Pore and a friendly little bird told me that he just released a CD. Dang, where have I been? Too much working, I guess. Well, looking at the tracks, I can’t wait to download it from iTunes. After all, it’s for a good cause. So to you American classic fans (or those who are getting a bit tired of Michael Buble and long for a real classic Sinatra-ish voice in this computer age), lookout for ‘My Lady Love’, an album by Sherman Pore.

Among the track lineup are MY favorite timeless numbers such as: The Way You Look Tonight, You Belong To Me (uh huh, the song dedicated to late wife, Melissa), Autumn Leaves, Dream a Little Dream of Me and The Very Thought of You.

The Top Three

In Celebrity Talk, My American Idol Addiction, TV Talk on May 17, 2007 at 2:43 am

American Idol LogoOkay. I thought I’d never post another thing about American Idol 2007, especially after LaKisha Jones got kicked out last week (yes it broke my heart to pieces, and no I’m not totally over it yet). There goes my dream of having a KiKi VS Melinda in the finals. But the show goes on and it’s down to Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks and my lovely Melinda Doolittle.
