Quote of The Day!

In Me Likey on April 21, 2008 at 1:13 am

“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it”

-Henry David Thoreau (1817 – 1862)-

The wise words makes me smile in warmth 🙂

Bye, Missy. Finally!

In My American Idol Addiction on April 18, 2008 at 12:58 am

So I’m still mending my broken heart over Michael Johns’ elimination last week -which I didn’t get to see due to the Astro whatever thing-, but I felt a bit better when finally Miss Kristy Lee Cook was FINALLY eliminated earlier this evening.  Guess the producers -AND the whole country do read blogs.  HAHA!

Now let’s see.  I’m in the mood to analyze stuff.

Syesha Mercado – unless the producers think they still need somebody to fill the color quota next week, I think she’ll be gone.  Don’t get me wrong, technically she’s excellent.  But um, they got to have someone there after Chickezie and Ramiele are gone.  Afterall, this isn’t last season where great singers were safe from the wrath of Lee Cook’s fan base.  I feel for Syesha because I think she’s way too talented to just become a ‘quota’.

Cute Tote!

In Image Post, Me Likey, Window Shopping, Wishlist on April 15, 2008 at 10:05 pm

I’ve had a huge spat with a co-worker today and it’s suffice to say that my day was bad.  But hey, nothing cures bad days better than online-shopping.  Okay, window shopping if I’m sticking true to the ‘Not Buying It’ book.  But come on, wouldn’t you want to get your hands on this?

In the era of iPods and MP3 players, it’s cute to have something from the past to hold all your futuristic belongings.  Yeah. Those folks at PerpetualKid never cease to amaze me with their quirky stuff.  Lovin’ you all, guys!

Buying “Not Buying It”

In Me Likey, Silly Posts on April 13, 2008 at 4:40 pm

Saturday was pretty active for me, because usually I get out of bed around 11, watch E! for latest weekend gossip and slowly makes my move to the bathroom and get ready for my per-lunch swim. After the swim, it’s usually followed by a late lunch and back to bed for a snuggly session in bed of MORE television watching.

Yesterday I woke up around 10.30, dashed into the bathroom to get ready to meet my friend Arie Dagienk for lunch. We have been planning on meeting up since the first spark of our future collaboration work surfaced. That was around… 2005. Yeah. After almost three years of not talking about this project and meet up just for the sake of dancing around and giggling about people’s fashion mishaps, we FINALLY met at Cilandak Town Square, where the wifi is free and the food fabulous. This time, we talked business and he surprised me with his determination. Fingers crossed, people. This is going to happen as it HAS to happen. Will update everybody on this 😉

Black Hole Wonder

In Gloomy Me on April 11, 2008 at 1:09 pm

I’ve fallen into that hole again.

The question is: should I let myself fall, or should I call for help?

See, even when falling, my mind won’t stop working.

What are the odds of that?

Idol Gives Back

One word for the show:

EXCELLENT.

That’s about it.

Somewhere Over Jason Castro

In My American Idol Addiction on April 10, 2008 at 2:21 am

I say he’s the best of the night.

Let’s all pray Carly doesn’t get the axe because apparently Ms. Whatchamacallit is getting better -said the judges, not me-.  Cook wasn’t that hot, Johns somewhat disappointing, Mercado was ok but not good enough, Archuleta obviously nailed the inspirational theme and White was only nice.

The competition is getting tougher, the producers are getting smarter…

…but I’m only looking forward to noting down the rundown of Idol Gives Back like I did last year.  Can’t wait to see how they’re gonna embed Brad Pitt in the show and how Mariah Carey would perform and what she would give back.

And after the Emmy-winner show, I seriously don’t know what to expect.  America obviously loves country music and as long as they do, Ms. Twang there is gonna survive probably up to the top 5.

Whatever.  Mr. Pitt, I’ll be looking for ya.

Just A Note To Someone Hateful

In Uncategorized on April 7, 2008 at 12:20 am

Well well,

I think somebody out there should try and sign up for anger management classes and um, I don’t know… try to be a little bit ignorant for a change.  After all, if one hates something that much, then one should just stay hateful or make peace with oneself instead of going on picking every little thing there is to pick about people one doesn’t even know.

And let me tell you something…

Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

So go ahead, try burning an incense or something.  I hear sandalwood and lavender have the ultimate relaxing effect.  Listen to soothing music, bathe in a warm water, and soak those hateful aura away.  It’s a lot of effort, really, but it does work.  Taking a vacation should work too.  Let me see, Bangkok sounds nice isn’t it?  And um… oh maybe a new destination: Tahiti?  Ah maybe that’s not new for ya.  Hm.  Palau might be a good destination.  After all, they have beautiful cabanas and cottages.

Food can also be another alternative to relieve those tightened back muscles that caused lots of blockage within the veins in the brains (should one have any).  Try um, let’s say, chocolate.  We all love chocolate.  It’s a feel-good food, with a sweet sweet aftertaste.  Or um… maybe fruits?  Strawberries are excellent although it tastes like a sumo-wrestler’s sweat.  Don’t ask me how I know that.  Or probably just that overrated food that made covers for those best seller BS books -that I bet you read and mope about *insert a huge EEWW here*-: Chicken Soup for The Soul.

Or maybe try the simpler way:
