Amish Paradise

So I’ve been feeling a little bit Amish for the past week because Astro TV, my sucky satellite channels provider, suddenly said BYE to paying customers without any warning whatsoever.  I think they missed out on the SELAMETAN thing (or probably too cheap to have one) before they started their business here as they have been nothing but PISSING OFF their customers.  And while waiting for my Indovision to be installed, I’m left TV-less.  See that’s the reason why I missed last Thursday’s Amazing Race Asia.  And the premier of the newest Grey Anatomy’s season.  And a whole lot of other stuff.

Luckily I got a new toy named after a fruit that’s able to amuse me for hours (when not working, that is) as I don’t work in huge corporations.  I still remember vividly the looks on my bosses’ faces whenever theirs beep indicating there’s an important e-mail coming from God knows where and whenever.  To me my berry is a toy to help me get over stupid ASStro.

That’s the major downer of the week.  A lot of other stuff happened too and here they are in random order:

Mr. J, look what I found!  LOL!  Omigod, I spent hours and hours watching their stuff on YouTube.  Seriously, I just have HAVE to see them live someday.

(Too Much) Frustration At TARA 3

Yeah yeah so I missed posting on last week’s race, so what.  I watched it and I could understand why the Indian dad got so frustrated with the car and the Malaysian girl cried like crazy when she had to eat all those stinky tofu.

Maybe I would quit if I were them.  There and then.

But as much frustrating tasks as there were, this week started interesting with the Malaysian friends, Ida and Tania, who went first to the Sony Store and was frustrated like hell in search of the correct blu-ray CDs (nice product embedding here, producers!) for their clue.  And I love how Sam & Vince got all bold in the fast forward.  Nice tattoos dudes.  I am against sticking myself with needles except when I’m sick and the doctor tells me to get an injection, but if I could get a free tattoo AND the first place at an Amazing Race Asia round, I would say: ‘Stick a needle in me, I’m done’.  At least I got a good souvenir from the race.

FX

I don’t really get people’s enthusiasm over the new mall FX.  To me, the inside is labyrinth-like, you can’t go to the place you wanna go without having to make unnecessary detours.  Layout-wise it’s kinda annoying.  And what’s up with the ‘dangerous’ slide?  Aaannnddd… why would one want to hold a meeting in aquarium-like ‘meeting rooms’?  Sure it’s meant to see and be seen, but why would you want to be seen when you’re in a meeting?  Why would you want people to see you when you normally don’t want any disturbance when doing a meeting?  Isn’t that a contradictive concept?
